Provisions ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our service.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly, including:

• Email address (when joining the waitlist or creating an account)
• Household and dietary preferences (when using the service)
• Recipes, meal plan feedback, and ratings
• Pantry inventory and shopping list data
• Account information (name, email)

How we use your information

Your information is used to:

• Create and improve your personalised meal plans
• Generate shopping lists and track pantry inventory
• Learn your household's preferences over time
• Send you updates about Provisions (with your consent)
• Improve our service based on usage patterns
• Respond to your questions and support requests

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Provisions. Each receives only the data necessary to provide their function:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Stores your account data, preferences, and meal plans.
• Anthropic — powers meal plan generation. Receives household preferences and dietary requirements to create personalised plans. No personal identifiers are sent.
• PostHog — anonymous product analytics. Collects usage patterns (page views, feature usage) to help us improve the service. No personally identifiable information is tracked.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Receives your email address to send waitlist confirmations and service notifications.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics on our website and app. This includes page views, feature interactions, and scroll depth. Analytics data does not include your name, email, or household details. You can opt out of analytics by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.

Data protection

We never sell your personal data. Your household information and preferences are used solely to create better meal plans for you. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including household preferences, meal plans, recipes, and conversation history — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Waitlist entries are retained until the service launches or you request removal.

Children's privacy

Provisions is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
